THE BROTHERS - This was written as kind of a shout-out to the composer’s grandsons. It is meant to depict their lively spirit and energy, and it features solos for the musical instruments they chose to play as kids, drums and alto saxophone. There is a challenging sax soli that will be rewarding to the players once it is prepared. The piece has an interesting overall shape to it, a lot of ebb and flow while always pushing forward.
