Enter Autumn has a beautiful melody and counter-melody set in a medium Bossa/Latin feel. Solos are in the guitar, first tenor, and drum parts. The original medium tempo builds to a double-time samba feel, over which the guitar solos. There is a return to the half-time medium tempo after the guitar solo. There is a very mellow ending after a strong “shout” version of the melody. This is a piece that will provide excellent contrast in a concert of “high, fast, and loud.” You can listen to this piece on the DCJO CD, ENTER AUTUMN.
