Avila Beach – Inspired by a weeklong summer visit to the wonderful California Central Coast beach town, Avila, this piece has a laid-back feel appropriate for sunbathing, swimming, and daydreaming at the beach. It’s a Tenor Sax feature on a melody that floats over the rhythm section before it moves to an improvised solo over slow-moving chord changes. Solo changes for Trumpet with optional solo for Guitar.
